Introduction
RIS looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle Management who will report to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that is in compliance with federal, state and payer-specific billing requirements. The Director will oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of RIS facilities’ revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure maximization of cash collections through diligent and timely monitoring of all open accounts receivable balances-
Serves as the resident expert and "go to" person for all coding, billing and collections processes.

Coordinate and manage all billing outsource service contact

Development of board and meeting presentations

CDS/AUC Process and Implementation (Effective 1/1/22)

OBL/ASC – Intense Billing Review

Oversee eligibility and authorization process and monitoring

PET (PET DRUGS) & Imaging Centers – Intense Reimbursement Review
-
Complete audits relative to claims, collection agency activities, and identification of issues

Payor enrollment/credentialing tracking/management

MIPS Management
-
Assist physicians as need to guarantee maximum bonus achievable

Perform documentation for physician/techs liaison for training and amendments as needed

Follow up directly with physicians on documentation amendments

Develops, reviews and enhances operating policies and procedures to improve quality and efficiency.

Ensures compliance with coding and billing regulations, relevant healthcare regulations and data privacy issues (e.g., HIPAA).

Conduct periodic review of modalities and reimbursement

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree required in related field or healthcare preferred.

At least 5 years experience with revenue cycle functions, preferably in both the shared service and clinical department environments.

Demonstrated understanding of MIPS management and CDS/AUC
-
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service

Knowledge of basic insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement practices with radiology and surgery center billing recommended

Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
