Job Summary
The Field Marketing/Social Media Manager is responsible for driving property-level revenue through marketing plans that address local and regional business objectives/challenges. This role will oversee and collaborate with our Radisson Blu brand of hotels located within the Americas and will have one direct report for ease of communication.
Responsibilities
Social Media
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML)
Manage all Radisson Blu accounts, including hotel outlet accounts, and seek out ideas/opportunities to utilize the following channels/not limited to:
Youtube
Hotel Website
Online Review Portals & Listings (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Expedia, Booking.com, Google)
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (F&B, sales etc) on site and corporate representatives to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Post/Send hotel’s events to local blogs along with hotel’s marketing/PR agency, if applicable
Proactively research social media opportunities within hotel utilizing:
Human Resources
Catering
F&B
Sales
Local calendar of events
City sports team schedules
Build relationships with bloggers, influencers and media and execute site visits as well as secure placement including collaborating with operational for on site deliverables
Marketing
Identifies revenue driving opportunities for hotels within markets and region, to include opportunities for Hotel outlets
Proactively develops strategies to address regional/hotel business challenges and pace deficits and orchestrates with hotel teams to execute
Review incoming advertising, promotional, and sponsorship opportunities
Proactively search out promotional opportunities with local attractions; maintain relationships with industry partners
Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, and F&B cross-functional teams to develop and implement local sales/marketing/revenue plans.
Provides regular reporting and insights on marketing initiatives
Develops annual digital marketing plans that serve to maximize hotel revenue production and guest engagement initiatives.
Maintaining Brand Standards
Manage and maintain all hotel graphics, photos, logos, intellectual property
Execute Radisson Blu’s graphic/advertising standards and brand positioning across all graphics and communications at the hotel no matter who is using them or where they are being used - to ensure that the hotel is being represented properly and consistently
Assist the brand, loyalty, partnership and digital teams with the communication of HQ initiatives to the field to ensure maximum participation
Coordinate the design and production of graphics and collateral from beginning to end – provide direction, edits or write out concept, review rounds of proofs, and coordinate printing and installation
Give final approval with DOSM and/or General Manager all general hotel signage to ensure brand standards are being followed
Coordinate and execute hotel/restaurant photo shoots and filming – photographer selection, pre-planning, setting rooms, execution, follow-up proofing, etc.
Requirements
3+ years related experience marketing and social media, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
Elevated creative eye & aesthetic
An intermediate to proficient understanding of systems such as: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and Hootsuite is preferred
BA in Marketing, Digital Media/Communications or related field is a plus
Ability to work on multiple projects, manage time efficiently, be resourceful and effectively implement feedback
Excellent writer and communicator with extreme attention to detail
Experience working on short deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
Independent self-starter who's comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel as needed
