Designer / Architect

Rae & Heath Architects is looking for a talented and motivated Designer / Architect with 4-7 years of experience seeking a unique opportunity to help us shape the future of our growing architectural practice.

The firm finds the synergistic experience of in-person working fundamental to the studio process. We operate on a hybrid work schedule of in-office and at-home work days.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our team of talented designers to assist in the development of innovative architectural concepts that address our clients' unique needs and aspirations.
• Contribute to the creation of architectural drawings, 3D models, and renderings, supporting the effective communication of design intent to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in research and analysis of site conditions, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance with all necessary standards.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews, actively contributing ideas and incorporating client feedback into design solutions.
• Support coordination efforts with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in the production of construction documents and architectural specifications, paying attention to detail and accuracy.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 4-7 years of professional experience as a designer or architect.
• Architectural licensure is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in the production of permitting and construction documentation.
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to contribute creative ideas to design discussions.
• Solid understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and projects effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver quality work.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of architecture.
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.

This is a full time position with a compensation package commensurate with experience and skills.
