We are very pleased to announce that Ragle Inc. is now looking for a highly motivated, hardworking Asphalt / Paving Superintendent who is interested in working for an established company with great advancement opportunities.

Our West TX Heavy Highway Division is seeking team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented individuals who are looking for new learning experiences, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success.

General Job Duties

• Directly supervise field employees
• Manage the coordination of all the site equipment, labor and materials as well as program in time deliveries of material with Office Engineer
• Constant contact with the PM to ensure schedule, cost and production is met and to anticipate management required with other third parties
• Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
• Order tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
• Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
• Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
• Minimize unexpected costs and non-commodities in quality
• Attend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structures

General Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 3-10 years of experience as a Superintendent previously with heavy civil construction work including paving and asphalt structural work, concrete and paving for site work and road construction
• Ability to bring on a crew is preferred
• Flexible schedule, willing to work nights
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Exceptional organization and time management skills
• Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
• Keen attention to detail
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
• Experience with paving and asphalt
