Rahn's Oil & Propane is seeking a Full Time Service Writer at our Melrose 1 Stop Repair location.

Duties Include:

  1. Estimating the cost and time needed for a wide range of repairs.
  2. Welcoming customers to the shop, discussing their needs along with informing the customers of our products, services, and applicable offers.
  3. Develop repair estimates by calculating the cost of materials, supplies, and labor.
  4. Prepare orders by detailing the vehicle's problems or symptoms.
  5. Dispatching the work to the appropriate technician.

Required Skills:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Strong customer service skills to ensure repeat business, handle customer questions and resolve customer complaints.
  3. Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills to perform job successfully.
  4. Knowledge of digital technology including, Internet, word processing, record keeping, payment processing and other appropriate industry-specific software.
