Server

Rail is a locally and independently owned farm to table café & market/full service dinner restaurant located near downtown Westfield. We are looking for experienced, professional servers with excellent communication skills, and positive attitudes to work Wednesday-Saturday during our brand new full service dinner hours (3pm-10pm).

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Provide quality service to all guests.
• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions and upsell.
• Collect payments from tables.
• Checking identification to ensure guests are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Be up to date and follow all alcohol laws.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following daily opening/closing lists as well as daily cleaning tasks.
• Be up to date and knowledgeable about all local beers/wines/liquors we carry.
• Effectively communicate with support staff and other employees during service.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of serving experience.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• Available to work all shifts.
• Must maintain a valid ATC liquor license and certificate.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with support staff, cooks, and other staff.
• Must be a team player who is a critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Must include at least 2 industry references (including work contact information) with your resume.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2.13 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week
