Point of contact for Epic/Sanford system issues. Works closely with HIM, Coding Educator and RLMC departments. Point of contact for Change Health Care issues. Is responsible for credit balance accounts, difficult accounts and clearing account resolutions. Maintain compliance to all rules and regulations related to billing of services provided to Medicare beneficiaries as well as other federal, state, and local requirements and those of non-governmental payers. Will provide support and education to billing and collection staff. Acts as the Department of Labor contact for Rainy Lake Medical Center. Assist with Charge capture audit meetings and revenue cycle meetings. Back up relief and assist the Reimbursement Contract Compliance Specialist. Assist with statistical data for Cost reports and other agency reporting. Assist in Special projects as assigned by Director. This list may not be all inclusive of assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of experience in Medical claim submission
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Third party payer contracts
Additional Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position must maintain patient confidentiality at all times, and possess excellent customer service. The successful candidate for this position must efficiently learn and use the Electronic Medical Records Software System. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Demonstrate ability to trouble shoot and analyze patient accounts. Assist patients with Community Care processing. Must be able to prioritize assigned duties, and follow instructions with attention to detail.
