We are working with an Oilfield client that is growing like crazy and adding a Materials Handler to their team.
Pay Rate: $15-$20 DOE
Work Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Location: Onsite – Sugarland TX 77478
Additional Information: Drive's License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
Job Overview:
Training with assistance on all areas of material handling and distribution including unloading, distribution, output documentation, delivery, locating, interpreting information, separating duties, packing, and assembly of kits for manufacturing within one of the following areas: parts room, warehouse, shipping/receiving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training with assistance within one of the following areas of materials handling and distribution: parts room, warehouse, shipping/receiving.
- Training includes unloading, distributing, output documentation, delivery, locating, interpreting information, separating duties, packing, and assembly of kits for manufacturing.
- Training with assistance on internal business management systems (computer literacy).
- Training with issuing and maintaining shop / general suppliers.
- Training on labeling of materials.
- Awareness of 6S standards in the area.
- Complete and accurate cycle counting.
- Complete accurate inventory transactions in the area of training.
- Functional use of all automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Create labor records for all transactions.
- Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health, and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving).
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines using written instructions and checklists.
- Employees may be assigned other duties in addition to or in lieu of those described above, and any duties are subject to change at any time according to the needs of the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School or Equivalency.
- 0–1 year experience in a similar work environment.
- Working with equipment between 30-50lbs.
