What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist position at Raise?
We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the medical device industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Chemist to their team. Responsibilities include:
1) Collaborate with team members to advance analytical chemistry development, aiming to create assays utilizing both new and established methodologies
2) Participate in the formulation and validation of testing methodologies for controlling raw materials, production intermediates, and end products
3) Contribute to the establishment, validation, and documentation of compound identification methods, whether new or existing
4) Perform analysis on samples utilizing various techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, HPLC, and other analytical methods
5) Supervise finished product stability testing, overseeing both external and internal processes to align with company needs and relevant regulatory standards
6) Coordinate and oversee analytical tasks conducted by external laboratories, vendors, and collaborative partners
7) Draft SOPs, protocols, reports, and other quality documents as required
8) Present findings to both internal and external audiences as necessary
9) Ensure work is conducted in adherence to cGMP, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in research and development
