Job Description
Our client, a leading meat company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Assurance Specialist to join the team. Here is an overview of the role :
1) Oversee the facility's SQF Practitioner role, with responsibilities for maintaining and enhancing the existing system
2) Ensure the facility's overall compliance with HACCP standards, which includes monitoring critical control points, enforcing and revising labeling guidelines, and managing export certifications, among other duties
3) Conduct fundamental laboratory tasks such as environmental sampling and testing, as well as sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
4) Carry out facility inspections and lead internal audits
5) Maintain comprehensive records related to food safety, supplier documentation, labeling approvals, and more
6) Serve as the plant's representative to regulatory agencies, including the USDA, and guarantee adherence to SQF requirements, GMP standards, and all relevant regulatory mandates.
Additionally, act as a professional grammar and spelling checker to ensure accuracy in all documentation
7) Perform other tasks as assigned by the management
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality
