Our client, a leading ingredient company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Manager to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Ensure product quality and food safety by controlling raw materials, implementing good production practises, and aligning with Group QSA policies and objectives
2) Train staff on daily tasks and their impact on production processes while sharing quality tools
3) Conduct follow-ups on client audits and visits, taking necessary actions, and managing client complaints
4) Maintain a link with the Group QSA department and control documents related to the Quality and Food Safety System
5) Create and review documents to ensure effective communication and alignment with Group QSA directives
6) Participate in defining and reviewing sampling and analysis plans for raw materials and end products
7) Record non-conforming bulletins of raw materials, ensuring relevant information is communicated to involved entities
8) Make decisions regarding the acceptance or refusal of raw materials and end products when criteria are not fully met
9) Coordinate the HACCP team, ensuring compliance with prerequisite programmes and control points
10) Communicate relevant information impacting the HACCP plan to the Group QSA department
11) Collaborate with the production sector to define and implement actions ensuring food safety
12) Monitor GMP in the production unit and support production teams in development and continuous improvement
13) Alert and report possible gaps in meeting requirements for food safety
14) Propose improvements for daily tasks impacting quality and food safety in the production area
15) Stimulate and manage the plant Food Safety Team
16) Record internal non-conformities and analyze customer complaints and internal non-conformities
17) Participate in the analysis of causes and definition of corrective actions in the industrial sector
18) Follow up on the implementation of defined actions and assess their effectiveness
19) Ensure compliance with defined timelines for analyzing causes and implementing actions during non-conformities
20) Conduct visits to clients when necessary
21) Prepare and follow up on audits, manage resulting non-conformities, and participate in the definition of corrective actions
22) Conduct audits of suppliers based on the annual audit programme or specific needs
23) Oversee the Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring compliance with sampling and analysis control plans and the annual budget
24) Monitor and ensure conformity of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment with defined limits
25) Follow up on industrial trials of critical products to ensure compliance with R&D-defined specifications
26) Conduct awareness actions for environmental practises in compliance with Environmental Management System procedures
27) Provide continued training and awareness actions to all staff regarding relevant procedures impacting the Quality and Food Safety System
28) Engage staff in non-conformities resulting from audits, claims, and client visits, emphasising the importance of fulfilling defined procedures
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the ingredient industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality management
