Starting with our flagship venue in Charlotte's Lower South End, Rally is reinventing recreation, and we're looking for smart, empathetic, hands-on managers to grow with us as we launch and expand the Rally brand.
The Position.
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in leading the venue operations and cultivating a team environment that is grounded in Rally's core values. The AGM must be a dedicated team player that possesses a strong desire to grow and develop their team. They must demonstrate a sharp attention to detail and a commitment to building a culture of excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and the ongoing development of venue staff; foster high staff morale and inspire your team to embody the highest standards of customer service.
- Develop and monitor budgets across venue departments, including operations, sales, and marketing. Support GM in achieving financial objectives of the Company.
- Conduct regular meetings with management team to review performance and offer direction, motivation, and guidance towards achieving individual and Company goals.
- Create an environment where safety comes first. Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations.
- Control labor and expenses in all areas of operations; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions
- Anticipate guest pain points and take initiative to solve for them in order to ensure a best-in-class hospitality experience.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends and evolving customer preferences; use that knowledge to develop business solutions that improve operations and guest experience.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll:
- Have five years of experience in hospitality management with high volume establishments
- Be passionate about exceeding guest expectations and delivering "surprise and delight" moments
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to effectively delegate responsibilities
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you must think on your feet
- Have experience training and developing hourly staff
- Have strong business math, accounting, and analytical skills, with considerable P&L exposure
- Demonstrate integrity, respect for others, and an appreciation for diversity
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of POS register systems
- Stop at nothing to ensure a memorable guest experience
