Your primary responsibilities will be accurate cost estimates, research products, preparing reports, project management functions, and monitoring forecasts. You will also oversee communications with your clients and conduct risk assessments. To be successful in this position, you need to be analytically minded and a great problem solver. We are seeking applicants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you need to have strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, construction plans, specifications, and related documents. Visits project sites when necessary.
- Identify and evaluate bid opportunities
- Develop competitor profiles
- Coordinate pre-bid review process
- Coordinate post-bid analysis
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates. Coordinate successful estimates with field personnel.
- Calculate and analyze costs to ensure all requirements are met.
- Copy and submit the bid/quote on time either in person, by fax, or electronically.
- Executes contract agreements, and assists with plan preparation, and estimates. Negotiates and prepares change orders as necessary.
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hours and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Ability to analyze bid statistics and develop competitor profiles.
Project Management
- Write correspondence letters compile submittal information, and review shop drawings, material designs, and all other necessary documents so that the project can begin and function properly.
- Coordinate project handoff process
- Reevaluate the project before work begins
- Actively participate in department operations meetings
- Coordinate project progress analysis and post-project cost reviews.
- Ensure accurate trend reports and monthly projections
- Take part in performance dialogues and meetings
- Assist in scheduling.
- Notify subcontractors and suppliers of anticipated start and delivery needs.
- Schedule pre-job meetings and progress meetings both internally and with the owner.
- Assist and support the Area Superintendent and Foremen as needed.
- Review job quantities, approve invoices, and subcontractor payments, prepare extra work change orders, and monitor job costs.
- Maintain and analyze monthly cost projections and report projections to Management.
- Review, tabulate, and negotiate final quantity agreements with owner and/or Prime contractor to ensure 100% payment for all work performed.
- Review monthly account receivables and cash aging reports.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities and special projects as requested.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree –Construction Management or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience with managing concrete restoration projects & cost estimation
- Knowledge of construction PM related software (Procore, Acumatica a plus)
- Demonstrates leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional client service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Travel
To and from job sites is required. RAM will compensate for travel expenses, if applicable.
Work Environment
As an Estimator-Project Manager for RAM, the employee will be subject to both an office and job-site/field setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
