Ramboll seeks a mid-level environmental engineer or scientist to conduct environmental health & safety (EHS) audits of industrial facilities to assess compliance with regulations. Additionally, the individual may conduct EHS management system audits, and perform other work in support of EHS management such as preparation of Spill Containment, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), chemical inventory reports, and documents associated with hazardous waste compliance. The successful candidate should have ~5-8years’ experience in performing EHS audits and/or management in an industrial facility or for industrial clients. This is a hybrid work model.

You will join our Ramboll Environment & Health department
As our new Senior Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in the Americas, engaging with other business and technical professionals. You will work with all levels of technical expertise, from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. You will engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on the job tasks. Opportunities to support projects outside the US on short-term, travel assignments also available.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Participate as an EHS compliance audit team member.
- Participate as an EHS management system audit team member.
- Provide technical assistance on environmental permitting and compliance, health and safety evaluations, and due diligence transaction projects.
- Evaluate federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements for waste, air quality, and water quality programs and preparing associated plans, permits, and reports.
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Review or prepare EHS documents such as environmental plans and reports, andsafety program plans and reports
- Deliver EHS training
- Assist with EHS audit sales and project management.
- Travel: Up to 50 percent, primarily within the western US, but may include travel to other regions of the US. Travel is almost entirely short (1-5 days) duration

- Minimum BS in Engineering, Science, or Occupational Health and Safety
- 5-8years’ experience in performing EHS audit and/or management in an industrial facility or for industrial clients
- Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to travel within the US for work is necessary

- MS in Engineering or Science
- Professional Engineer (PE; ideally in California)
- Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner (QISP)
- Industrial Hygienist (IH)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
