What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Bartender position at Rambling House?
Rambling House seeks a Head Bartender to supervise and coordinate bar employees, work shifts, and demonstrate both beverage preparation knowledge and a passion to develop recipes. This team leader must be creative and personable, as well as safety and liability-minded. Payscale and benefits depend on background and experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Enforcing safety regulations
- Working with centralized purchasing to order and retrieve beer, wine, and liquor
- Ensuring proper storage and appropriately stock the bar
- Inventorying all product in bar and coolers
- Managing and scheduling bar staff
- Working closely with the ownership and kitchen team to create cocktails and drink recipes
- Working closely with head brewer and brewery team to learn about house beers, recommended pairings and pours, and how to educate staff on the proper knowledge learned from Head Brewer
- Teaching and guiding servers and bar staff on terminology, guest education, means of service, and safety/liability on all bar-related areas
- Working bar shifts as a bartender
- Dealing with complaints, safety enforcement, problem-solving, and other related customer relations
- Handling, moving, and carrying heavy items such as kegs and cases of alcohol
- Maintaining physical stamina, standing and moving for full shifts

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
