Job Description

We are building our risk management capability which covers both project and programme risk management. We are therefore looking for a risk manager preferably with a project management background, and an understanding of risk modelling and analysis (including monte carlo analysis).

You will join our Project Managementdepartment as part of our specialist risk management team

You will be part of our project management community delivering a wide range of construction projects in the UK and overseas for both the public and private sectors. Typical projects the team are involved with are Defence Projects, new embassies and projects for the British Antarctic Survey. The work is challenging and involves dealing with clients and a broad range of stakeholders, consequently it is vital for applicants to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to form close and effective working relationships.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Project and programme risk management
  • Actively engaging with the project delivery teams
  • Develop the Risk and Opportunities for the project.
  • Lead project or programme level clients and their key stakeholders
  • Compile and maintain the project or programme risk register
  • Compiling risk registers
  • Risk analysis and modelling utilising monte carlo software such as @Risk, Riskhive Arrisca/ERM for cost and schedule.
• Involvement with bid writing for risk management specialism
• Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables

• Minimum HNC/HND (relevant subject preferable)
• Experience of project delivery
• Preferably a member or an associate member of an appropriate construction focused association or Institute (APM / IRM) etc. If not currently a member of such organisation you will be required to work towards and achieve this qualification within a reasonable agreed timeframe
• Ability to achieve security clearance requirements

• You are a confident communication and listener
• You can chair meetings and workshops effectively
• You can manage multiple stakeholder requirements and then communicate these requirements back to the project teams, often across geographical borders
