Job Description
Ramboll invite you to apply for a Building Services Technician Apprentice position in our Leeds office within our Building Services team, assisting in delivery of sustainable designs across a wide range of projects.
You will be provided full support to achieve a Level 3 qualification, typically on a day release basis, and create a solid foundation for a long and successful career. The training provider for this apprenticeship is likely to be Leeds College of Building.
As Building Services Engineers we play an essential role in creating high performing buildings, minimising the impact of buildings on our natural environment through sustainable design solutions, whilst maximising internal environmental comfort for building occupants. Using state of the art design tools we develop dynamic virtual environmental models, develop innovative, sustainable design solutions for heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic services, building energy management systems, lighting, power, Fire detection, Security, vertical transport to name but a few.
Working in partnership with Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers, Costs Consultants, together with numerous other specialist disciplines Building Services Engineers play a key role in bringing buildings to life, helping to create liveable societies where people and nature flourish.
Progression Opportunities
On completion of the Apprenticeship, you would be encouraged to continue on studying part time Level 4 HNC and then a degree apprenticeship. Following the completion of these qualifications, you would be on route to becoming a chartered engineer in the future.

You will join our Building Services department
As our new Buildings Services Engineering Technician Apprentice you will be part of a fast growing, dynamic team in our Leeds office. You will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respect each other and work towards a common goal.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Working on small to medium sized projects, producing 3d models, calculations visualisations, drawings and schedules that describe how to build our award-winning designs under the leadership of the discipline manager.
- You will learn to use an extensive suite of cutting edge REVIT applications and be challenged to improve of use of them.
- You will be working alongside the rest of the Building Services team, and also teams of all disciplines nationally and internationally across the Ramboll Group.
- Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety and quality.
