General Job description
Ramboll an international environmental consulting and engineering firm, is seeking a Contract Specialist/Administrator. The company is part of Ramboll Group, a leading engineering design firm headquartered in Copenhagen with about 13,000 employees in almost 300 offices located in more than 30 countries around the world. This person would support the legal department primarily by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide variety of contracts in accordance with Ramboll Environ policies to effectively and efficiently serve many internal clients while protecting the interests of the company.
This is a full-time position. The person would work out of our Syracuse, New York office. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Specific Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate terms and conditions concerning professional services agreements, subcontract agreements, reliance letters, nondisclosure agreements, and other company agreements
- Interpret and clarify for internal clients and other parties concerning contract terms and conditions
- Coordinate issuance of certificates of insurance
- Review client RFP requirements and advise on associated contract and compliance issues
- Assist in the implementation and education concerning company contracts policy and procedures
- Conduct research on contractual, compliance and other matters
- Coordinate frequently with all companies in Ramboll Group, US or non-US and/or outside organizations
- Other duties in connection with the foregoing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and good academic record
- Five (and preferably ten) years of relevant experience with corporation, insurance company or law firm – including experience with most if not all of the matters described above
- Familiarity with environmental matters and insurance is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Professional discretion and high ethical standards
- Good work ethic, timely, proactive, good judgment, reliable and common sense
- Excellent written, proofreading, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, internal and external customers and maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Ability to understand and execute conceptual directions without needing every detail and with minimal supervision
- Ability to make discretionary decisions with confidence and minimal guidance
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple assignments within specified deadlines
