We are currently seeking an Activities Director to join our team at Randall Residence of McHenry!
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
The primary purpose of this position is to develop and coordinate activity and recreation related programs and services for the community that reflect the varied interests of all the residents and provide them with meaningful and enriching activities. They will also help develop programs for Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s-Dementia Residents that help improve resident moral as well as optimal levels of mental, physical, and social functioning.
- Develop Programs
- Maintaining assigned areas in an orderly and attractive manner
- Interacting with residents and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing assistance and direction as requested
- Recruit, coordinate, and train volunteer members
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 Years Prior Experience Working in Assisted Living as Activities Director
- Desire to work with seniors
- Experience in coordinating social or recreational activities
- Must possess a team spirit, good character and personal integrity
- Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred
