What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Randall Residence?
We are looking to hire a Maintenance Director at our Community in McHenry, IL!
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
We are growing and are looking for an individual who has the ability to continually adjust to change, drive to make a difference, and desire to improve. The primary purpose of this job is to coordinate residence maintenance services and keep the residence and grounds in good repair. In addition, this individual will:
- Prepare vacant rooms/apartments for new residents, and respond promptly to all repair needs.
- Interact with residents and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing assistance and directions as requested
- Complete independent senior living apartment turnovers
- Conduct preventive maintenance for all equipment including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one year general maintenance experience
- Possess an understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
- Desire to work with older adults
- Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
- Ability to train staff for emergency response preparedness
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Safety and fire codes
- OSHA, SDS Sheets
- Understanding of systems and basic repairs
