Randall Residence, a leader in the senior living industry, is committed to creating remarkable senior living experiences to ensure our residents get to enjoy life as long as they have it. We are looking to hire a Memory Care Director (LPN) for our beautiful new community in Brighton, MI.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
We are growing and are looking for an individual who has the ability to continually adjust to change, drive to make a difference, and desire to improve. The Memory Care Coordinator must plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing and Life Enrichment functions of the Memory Care Unit in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and Director of Health and Wellness to ensure that the highest degree of quality care for our residents. This position is also responsible for passing meds and planning and implementing Memory Care Activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Possess a College Degree with course-work in dementia care, plus one (1) year experience working with persons with dementia
OR
At least two (2) years of management experience with persons with dementia.
- LPN
- Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
- Must be willing to receive Memory Care community training and be open to innovative approaches and then demonstrate these in action as well as ensure team participation.
- Must be able to provide critical thinking skills to address clinical issues.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years of experience in a home care, assisted living, or Long term care facility.
- A thorough knowledge of Alzheimer’s and other memory related diseases.
- Experience with positive management techniques for addressing challenging behaviors related to dementia.
- CPR and First Aid
- Any required training by the residence, including Federal and state laws pertaining to assisted living.
