Lab Technician, Hardware 3

job summary:

- Experience working with datacenter compute hardware - such as servers, network switches, power delivery units, etc.

- Experience executing and modifying scripts for compute hardware testing, including scripting tools such as Python, CLI, SSH, Redfish, Postman, etc.

- Experience working with UNIX or Linux based operating systems.

- Experience reworking computer circuit boards - i.e. soldering components onto printed circuit boards.

- Experience with electronics test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DVMs, emulators, etc.

- Experience with server cooling equipment, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and immersion cooling.

responsibilities:

- Execute tests on data center compute and cooling hardware.

- Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.

- Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.

- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.

- Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

- Provide training and support to system designers and users.
