Plant Supervisor

Our client in northern Maine is looking to add a Plant Supervisor to their growing team. Relocation assistance is available in this opportunity! Candidates will need to have at least their highschool diploma and will NEED a Maine High Pressure Boiler Operator License. responsibilities:

• Actively promote safe work practices, including conducting monthly safety meetings and audits throughout the mill.
• Supervise operating staff and train new employees.
• Inspect the entire plant and related areas to ensure safety, efficiency, and normal operating conditions.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for external maintenance and construction work, reviewing blueprints as necessary.
• Plan and coordinate operational work distribution and budget requirements.
• Schedule and oversee the maintenance of boilers, pumps, mechanical equipment, and other systems.
• Prepare reports for regulatory agencies in coordination with the Environmental Manager.
• Ensure all personnel are trained in and adhere to safety protocols.
• Manage procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies for the Steam Plant.
• Recruit, onboard, and train employees, providing ongoing development opportunities.
• Set expectations, provide feedback, and evaluate employee performance to maintain quality standards and deadlines.
