Looking to fill an Order Picker position in Port Wentworth, Ga. This is a temp to hire opportunity. As an operator you will be responsible for loading and unloading boxes. Organizing and securing materials, such as boxes, pallets, and super stacks in a safe way. Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Responsibilities

• Organize and secure materials, such as boxes, pallets, and super stacks in a safe way

• Pick orders from inventory using a pick sheet

• Maintain a clean work area

• Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements

• Consult and coordinate with manager, employees, and other departments regarding loading and unloading operations

• Attend meetings with manager and coworkers

• Use basic math skills

• Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping

• Report quality variances to the proper channels

• Report any faulty equipment, damage to racks, or other potential safety hazards

• Attend certification refresher courses

• Comply with OSHA Standards

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 12 hours at one time

• working up to 15 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends

Skills

• Forklift (6 months of experience is required)

• Cherry Picker (6 months of experience is required)

• Order Picker (6 months of experience is required)

• Material Handling

• Stock Handling
