responsibilities:
- Recommend and assist in corrective actions taken at all stages of product life
- Submit and track production (maintenance) and release issues
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, project test progress and release reports, application turnover documents and test schedules
- Design, implement and oversee software testing solutions via automated and manual means
- Perform backend database testing in identified testing environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers
- Manage defect backlog, ensuring proper documentation and tracking through resolution.
- Collaborate with development team and business to troubleshoot issues
- Ensure projects meet customer requirements and objectives
Performance Improvement
- Help the software applications team to maintain a high level of excellence
- Develop and refine test case standards, methodologies and sustainable processes
- Develop, standardize and evaluate performance metrics to establish process success
- Design, document and implement procedures and techniques that are consistent with best practices for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internal integrity/consistency, testability and overall quality of systems.
- Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities for adoption
- Track operations and constantly look for ways to make things work better, faster, and smoother
