1st Shift Packer/Shipper

Do you have shipping experience and a sense of urgency with issue resolution? We are looking for a shipping specialist to gather requirements, plan, package, ship, communicate, and inspect all shipments for a Bartlett Warehouse. This role requires outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving. It also requires great attention to detail and a reliable person. Although this 1st shift job is from 7am-5pm, logistics never sleeps and may require work on evenings and/or weekends during peak season.

salary: $15 - $18 per hour

Responsibilities

Packing, Shipping, and Warehouse Operations:

• Accurately pack products for shipment, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize efficiency and workflow.

High-Tech Orientation and Order Management Systems:

• Utilize our advanced order management systems to process orders efficiently.

Box Assembly and Preparation:

• Assemble empty boxes of various sizes using a tape gun, following established guidelines.
• Rotate responsibilities for box assembly among team members.

Handling and Lifting:

• Safely handle and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs to ensure products are packed securely.

Integration of Accessories:

• Add optional accessories such as engraved crystal and lighted base to each package as indicated in the order.

Labeling and Palletizing:

• Affix integrated shipping labels to each package with accuracy and precision.
• Place finished packages on pallets in an organized manner for pickup by UPS or FedEx.

Forklift Operation:

• Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload pallets when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and possess a valid certification.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality is essential.
• Certified in operating a forklift with a demonstrated proficiency.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Expectations:

• Pack a minimum of 40 boxes per hour to meet productivity goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
