CABLE ASSEMBLER

salary: $16 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical cable assembly on various types of cables
• Tracks incoming orders and investigates problems
• Read and understand Bills of Material
• Read and understand build assemblies for complicated parts
• Cut cables of varies sizes and types to length
• Install series 16 camlocks inline and panel mount type
• Install various connectors, lugs and locking devices to cable
• Ability to use various power tools and hand tools
• Coil cable using cable reeler
• Perform print on cable jacket
• Perform medium voltage terminations and testing
• Applying tagging to cables under heatshrink
• Inspect final product for quality control
• Package material and load trucks for outbound shipping
• Inspect raw materials for damage or defects prior to installation
• Cleans and maintains the warehouse
• Repair work of existing cables
• Some over-time may be required for this position
