Claims adjuster

Do you have demonstrated knowledge and attention to detail in multiple lines of insurance, insurance contracts, and coverage, in investigating claims and applying applicable laws? Do you have at least 1 year of property claims insurance experience? Our client that is an American multinational supermarket with headquarters in East Austin is looking for someone to manage inventory of property claims for recovery in their Third Party Property Claims department. This position would be a contract position for about 9 months and the client is open to fully remote for the right candidate. Responsibilities

• Manage inventory of property claims for recovery
• Promptly conduct and/or direct investigation of all aspects of the recovery claim
• Collaborate with third party administrator and company's business units when appropriate to increase efficiencies and maximize recoveries
• Negotiate and settle claims within granted authority
• Maintain an active and well documented diary
• Independent handling of routine and complex cases under general direction with established policies, procedures, financial autonomy, and precedents
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders
• Effectively manage and handle cases from inception through settlement to maximize recoveries
• Maintain a reporting system to track recovery dollars and expenses
