Responsibilities
- Develops processes and selects tooling required to create a capable process that meets all requirements
- Programs milling machines using MasterCAM software to transform the part from print to finished goods Responsible for 70% direct labor, 30% indirect labor - this includes running one machine and maximizing productivity
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates
- Full understanding of blueprint reading, geometric tolerance, and inspection procedures
