CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS:
Degree/Certifications Required: PMP certified will be preferred. Agile or scrum certified is also preferred. But not mandatory
Years of experience: At least 2 to 4 years of PM experience . Previous exp within an FI will be a plus.
Reason for request/why opened: lost a few PMs through internal FTE roles
% Interaction with Stakeholders: 90 % is interaction
Team Size: between 10 to 30 ppl
Personality Style/Team Culture: someone who is fast learner, proactive and is good verbal and written communication skills
Selling Points of Position: key thing is we are in the middle of major transformation of the bank and projects will be run on Agile,so these candidates will work with transition from Waterfall to Agile, so their market value goes up working on that. As a fast growing bank in US, we are working on so many initiative within the bank to provide excellent customer exp, so there is a plethora of work around new tech, state of the art work flow solution, Devops, Sales force , so they will get great exposure to all that.
Best Vs Average Candidate:
expect to work with business partners, tech partners and vendors, so someone who has some vendor management experience as well. Projects the candidates will work on include consumer banking projects, so they should have experience with that, project delivery, software enhancements. Working on regulatory projects will be plus. This is consumer bank portfolios and providing new products for banking.
How will performance be measured:
TYPICALLY WE HAVE PM scorecard, so selected persons will be expected to manage financial budget, maintain good project schedules and issues logs , those are how we measure them. And how they keep their project information current and relevant. Also feedback from partners.
SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Description:
Manage day to day project activities of medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget. Utilize accepted standards and procedures. Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development. Manage stakeholder expectations. Manage risk and ensure compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of several medium complexity projects.
Key accountabilities are:
? Works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
? Manages activities of medium complexity projects. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
? Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules.
? strong involvement in business IMO.
? Management of small to large projects (ranging in size from $400K to $3M), including multiple internal applications and external vendors.
? Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
? Accountability for project budget and time lines.
SKILLS:
Proven leadership skills and experience managing projects. Experience with Retail Banking preferred. Experience with Agile methodologies preferred. Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
