Job Description:
As a data engineer, candidate will be expected to help the team craft data solutions to meet business and enterprise requirements using Python, Oracle Exadata and emerging data technologies within a modern orchestrated CI/CD DevOps supported data pipeline.
Primary Skill:
- Linux
- Oracle Exadata
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a solid emphasis on Linux development.
- Solid Practical working experience in Linux server configuration and shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of SSH/SFTP including public key authentication and configuration options.
- Practical knowledge of Unix file systems including basics of mount types, permissions, standard tools, pipes.
- Working knowledge of Python and preferably also Perl.
- Experience using and/or configuring common SDLC tools that support Agile, such as Jira, Jenkins, Ansible
- Practical working experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle Exadata
- Understanding of the Agile methodology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for automation and continual process improvement
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in STEM related field.
- Practical working experience using ETL tools, preferably Informatica.
- Experience designing and building data warehouses and knowledge of the data flows involved.
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse / Data Mart / Business Intelligence concepts.
- Willingness to take on problems outside of current skillset and experience
