job summary:
Tatum Professional Search is seeking a Financial Controller for a rapidly growing, medical technology company in Charlotte, NC. The Financial Controller will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial modeling, month end close activities, and financial and operational internal controls.

responsibilities:

• Responsible for general accounting and policy application and process administration for all cycles including inventory, complex revenue recognition structures, receivables/payables, etc.
• Uses financial modeling to drive business close activities and future forecasting decisions.
• Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver competitive financial process/accounting services. Delivering month end close reporting and deliverables.
• Monitor and drive accurate account reconciliation completion and review.
• Lead closing and reporting processes including balance sheet review.

 
qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA license
• Accounting/Controllership background (experience with US GAAP or IFRS preferred).
• Provide technical guidance surrounding changes in business and upcoming accounting regulations, including preparation of accounting policies and technical memos (eg. ASC 606, 842 and 985)
