Food Packaging Operator

  We are hiring experienced Machine Operators for the 2nd shift in the Des Plaines area. You will be working in food packaging machines that produce dry goods such as oatmeal, crackers, cookies, etc. Must be able to read and write in english and have basic math skills. Responsibilities

• Attends the machine, adjusts heat, pressure or packaging material alignment to produce acceptable packages.
• Adjusts feed system to assure proper package weights.
• Visually inspects and packs packages in cartons
• Re-works packaged items visually checking for defects and re-claims products from defective packages.
• Performs visual quality control on packaged items.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
