Responsibilities
- Inspection of rubber molds are mostly visual.
- Pick and trim excess rubber from molded product.
- Support production with problem solving techniques and troubleshooting
- Optimize process parameters to reduce variation and maintain quality standards
- De-flash, flame treat, sand, gate removal, tab, glue, cut, drill and notch parts; inspect parts for surface finish, slip, coat, tape, pull tabs, trimmed surfaces and detailing
- Clean parts with specified solutions; glue connecting parts; dremel parts; cut parts; inspect slip coat surface finish and inspect non-slip coated rubber surface finish; load/unload parts jig as required
- Ensure product is properly labeled and stored; empty scrap bucket as needed
- Produce rubber injection molded parts via prescribed method(s) and machine(s)
- Maintain quality standards with minimal scrap; identify parts that are in need of re-spray from designated areas
- Sharpen and store dull blades according to prescribed method and process
- Visually inspect parts for cosmetic imperfections, defects, correct part number identification on coated surfaces and non-coated surfaces; label, log, and categorize defects
- Complete all appropriate paper work once parts are finished in oven
- Maintain continuous cycle of clean and dry jigs, and maintain hours log
