Group Claims Examiner

As their Group department is growing they are looking at add on an additional Group Claims Examiner. This individual will be responsible for processing the voluntary benefits claims adjudication. Coverage includes Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity and Life products.  The role is responsible for the accurate input of claims information as well as reviewing and analyzing claims to determine eligibility.  In addition, the claims examiner may be involved in claims projects including research, resolution of discrepancies and the development of processes for improvement as necessary. salary: $50,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to claimants, internal and external customers in accordance with Company values
• Investigate and resolve complex claims and make decisions on claim settlements
• Ensure that claims are processed in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Improving claims processes to gain operational efficiency while ensuring compliance
• Meet or exceed minimum production averages and accuracy minimums for payment, procedure and financial goals.
• Investigate and resolve complex claims and make decisions on claim settlements
• Provide guidance and support to team members to help them resolve claims and improve their performance
• Work closely with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to ensure a seamless claims experience for our customers
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve claim handling processes
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality and efficiency
