For this contractor assignment, the Information Security Analyst II assists with administering, supporting, and reporting on information security systems and supporting the development of security controls to protect information from unauthorized modification or loss. Under supervision, implements and administer systems and procedures to ensure the protection of information processed, stored, or transmitted.

responsibilities:
- Phishing Training responses
- Phishing Email inquiry review
- MSSP Tickets and various alerts
- Potential security events/ alerts
- Email Quarantine Monitoring
- Runs requested Email Gateway reports
- Reviews/performs Proxy Unblock Requests
- Supports and works closely with other departments (Incidence Response Coordinator /CID/ Legal/ Physical Security)
Required skills:
- Ability to triage customer requests, apply playbook driven solutions, initiate potential incident investigations
- Ability to follow process documentation
- Ability to demonstrate basic information security concepts
- Critical thinking skills
Preferred skills and experiences:
- Basic Splunk software skills
- Basic proxy software skills
- Previous job experience that required handling incoming requests (ex - IT Help Desk , IT tech, IT role)
- Experience with various ticketing Systems (ex- Remedy, Service Now
