responsibilities:
Job Overview

Responsible for assisting senior laboratory staff with a variety of routine laboratory procedures. Assists laboratory in processing, storage and retrieval of specimens.

Essential Functions

They would alleviate tasks from the CORE and Biologics wet lab staff such as:

• 6S duties, other lab duties
• Solid and liquid waste removal: Biowaste, liquid waste from STARs, hoods
• General Lab cleaning
• Daily checklists and weekly checklist
• Stocking labs
• Stocking the stock room
• Cleaning glassware
• Labelling tubes, reagent prep assistance, stability updates, BT/FT assistance, freezer inventory assistance if needed, peer reviewing pipettes, notebook scanning

They would alleviate some tasks from the CORE and Biologics LCMS Staff (they are taking over run write ups and run creation for the wet lab):

• Removing waste: biowaste, LCMS waste, sharps waste, reagent bottle waste
• Neutralizing acid/base bottles for waste
• Weekly checklists for 6S, notebook scanning
• Mobile Phase prep assistance
• They can also assist with EHS (making a lab pack inventory for example).

High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
