responsibilities:
- Communicate strategic and functional visions to all SDC Employees through managers and ensure execution alignment.
- Develop and cascades engagement strategies to the SDC employees.
- Rely on Managers/Supervisors to ensure employee engagement.
- Challenge individuals to develop skills outside of their comfort zone.
- Identify and develop successors to key roles, including their own role.
- Develop and assume accountability for strategic HSE vision at the SDC.
- Lead by example, ensure Manager/Supervisor roles include creating, fostering & encouraging a true safety culture.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business or other related field, Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
- 10 years proven experience in the APM / Rail passenger transportation industry and 7 years demonstrating success in developing and leading similar organizations, with profit & loss responsibility.
- Verbal, written and presentation skills in English are essential.
- Experience in the transportation business is preferred, but experience in other similar organizational structures is considered.
- A high level of proven leadership skills in an organization with multiple functions and disciplines reporting directly and indirectly.
- Understanding the underlying needs and motivations of others to maximize team engagement.
- The ability to remove internal and external roadblocks so others may solve problems from minor to the most complex situations.
- You leverage a network of support, both internally and externally, to achieve goals.
- You can successfully influence others to obtain buy-in and support for a specific course of action.
- You understand and encourage others to provide their point of view.
