Maintenance Mechanic

A food and beverage company in Suffolk County, NY is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment. This company has great benefits and flexible hours. salary: $65,000 - $72,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyor systems, packaging machines, mixers, pumps, and other machinery used in food manufacturing.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
• Utilize a range of tools, both hand-held and power tools, to dismantle, assemble, and adjust machinery components as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Conduct routine equipment testing and calibration to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, and parts used, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other documentation tools.
