Product Manager

job summary:

• BA / BS degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Management / Product Owner role within an Agile framework
• Dedication to customer-centric product design and development
• Experience with SQL, relational database concepts and APIs preferred
• Experience with user experience/design preferred.
• Experience in financial services and exposure to accounting engines and other sources of data relevant in the financial services space a plus.

responsibilities:

• Deliver on product strategy by translating concepts into actionable initiatives and epics in conjunction with the appropriate technical architects and leads
• Champions initiatives and epics from a user and value perspectives
• Drives initiatives within an individual or cross functional team, anticipating impacts to other products and the greater platform
• Engaged with UX resources to vision new initiatives and epics
• Understands the layers of an integrated platform and guides leverageable solutions, anticipating blockers or critical gaps
• Acts as voice of the user via documented use cases and examples
• Creates and maintains open dialog with technical leadership for transparency
• Ability to bridge user needs and technology
• Ability to translate business opportunities in conjunction with the product manager onto the roadmap
• Participates in platform planning and agile ceremonies
• Maintains the roadmap understanding the dynamic nature of the market
• Works with product director to establish metrics to track product success throughout product lifecycle; tracking adoption and possible end of life
• Works with Product Director to asses cost/benefit of initiatives
• Manage and coach team of business analysts who deliver on actionable features
• Collaborates across all levels within Product, Solutions, Technology, Operations and also with investment managers, adjusting style for the audience
• Escalates as necessary
• Works with other product manager to establish a support model and applicable legal and compliance items, establish training and knowledge materials to enable users
• Steps in as necessary to cover day to day needs and production support
• Product Owner for accounting platform application (Geneva), Geneva not required, but a huge plus.
