Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Quality Manager/Mechanical Inspector consist of but are not limited to:
• Perform mechanical inspection of parts & materials using Zeiss CMM, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, & pin gages for feature of size characteristics
• Perform visual inspection of parts & materials using unaided eye and magnification
• Performs a variety of inspection functions including: first piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspection of machined parts or materials being received from suppliers
• Perform 100% inspection on parts and materials as needed to meet customer requirements
• Ability to program Zeiss CMM using Calypso software to ensure machined parts meet customer drawing requirements, and perform CMM inspection using established programs
• Interpret Zeiss CMM reports and readouts for conformance to drawing requirements
• Ability to complete special inspection projects with direction
