quality technician

A Sodus manufacturing plant is looking to add a skilled Quality Technician to their expanding team! The plant is family owned and looking for a dedicated, hard working culture fit. Qualified candidates must have standard QC knowledge, experience running analytical tests, and performing size counts. A 2 year technical degree is preferred, as well as any kind of Engineering background. This is a direct hire position with great flexibility on the pay rate. If interested, please apply within.

Responsibilities

o Be familiar with all equipment in the Pilot Plant and Materials Lab and its operation.
Responsible for troubleshooting operation issues and making minor repairs/adjustments.
o Setup equipment/materials for development runs and operate equipment during the trial.
o Document trial parameters, observations, and results.
o Develop proficiency in the production of test samples on the injection molding machine,
including the skills/techniques to process development materials and operate new molds.
o Follow standardized test procedures to conduct physical property testing of polymer
materials. Create summary reports of experiments and testing.
o Should be able to contribute to the engineering team by suggesting process ideas or
material recommendations to solve product development problems.
