job summary:
A Quality Technician is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Maple Grove, MNE area. The Quality Technician collaborates with Design Assurance and R&D teams to ensure the development and verification of high-quality medical devices, focusing on product testing, documentation, failure analysis and continuous improvement.

salary: $26.60 - 33.97 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:
  • Partner with Design Assurance and R&D teams in the development and verification of Medical Single Use Devices and Medical Capital Equipment.

  • Work with cross-functional development teams to assist in product verification, design control deliverables, and risk management within Interventional Cardiology.

  • Understand and follow Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures governing daily activities in the Quality Technician role.

  • Independently coordinate Design verification (DV) projects and product testing, collaborating with DA technicians, labs, and other functions.

  • Develop, conduct, qualify, and document equipment/fixtures, visual standards, test methods, and data sheets within established procedures and methods.

  • Facilitate the use of established test methods and protocols, organize data, verify and report product testing results.

  • Assist Engineers with product failure analysis, non-conforming product, or CAPA investigations using procedures and proven processes.
Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrates good documentation practices and the ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience or training.

  • 3-5 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.

  • 5 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing medical device environment.

  • Independent organization and prioritization of multiple tasks.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to engineers and collaborate on issue resolution.

  • Autonomy in workload management under limited supervision or in a team environment.
