responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
- Develop, deploy and maintain test and verification programs for sophisticated electronic test equipment.
- Design and automate calibration reports and certificates.
- Analyze and archive calibration data and performance metrics.
- Work with production technicians and supervisors to deploy automated test utilities.
- Serve as primary interface between the software engineering and production groups.
- Support engineering requests for test data and analysis.
- Support and/or modernize legacy test system programs and processes.
- Produce all test and calibration software required to support new products to ensure smooth and timely transition to manufacturing.
- Create, update and maintain documentation related to production test programs.
- Maintain and develop instrument software and firmware loading procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
- Five to 10 years of experience using or supporting RF and microwave or various electronic test equipment such as RF power meters, RF signal generators/synthesizers, phase noise analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, , etc. - through both manual and remote operation.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: C, C , C#, Python, or VB.NET.
- Windows Forms development using C#.
- Automated data lookup and storage to Microsoft Excel templates using C#.
- Familiarity with using VISA (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture) to control test equipment.
- Python scripting and application development.
