salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with Financial Operations for timely monthly and year-end closings
• Prepare deficit reports and reports related to problem accounts
• Assist in developing automation processes to improve financial reporting and productivity
• Maintain research cost center file for interface to the general ledger
• Submit external sponsor reports, including FFRs, PMS-DPM Federal Cash Transaction Reports, payment vouchers/invoices, and Letter of Credit cash draw requests
• Perform detailed analyses of Research Finance issues and complex departmental practices
• Actively participate in developing and revising Research Finance policies and procedures
• Maintain general ledger for research responsibility centers
• Prepare financial reports for sponsor approval, conduct in-depth data analyses
• Ensure accurate and timely interpretation of financial data
• Perform routine checks of general ledger amounts, maintain audit records
