responsibilities:
? Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships ? Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings
? Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
? Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence ? Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape ? Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
? Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
? Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency in your area of responsibility.
? Ensure that all processes are maintained within the recommendations of the relevant supplier and Somacis Inc. documentation.
? Utilize statistical techniques and advanced tools where required.
? Assist the team providing the required level of detail required, within the agreed timescales and followed-up as required.
? Investigate new or alternative processes and materials and also evaluate potential new equipment and advise the Directors.
? Establish projects for cost reductions and process efficiency improvements.
? In the event of process problems, co-ordinate and expedite problem solving and return processes to normality at the earliest opportunity.
? Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary.
? Ensure the effective and efficient use of team members.
? Use of documentation control systems - paper and electronic.
? Complete human resource paperwork - company and legal.
? Execute your daily tasks to the best of your ability, having due regard and consideration for your colleagues as well as company property.
? Be aware of and work within the requirements of Employment and Health and Safety legislation.
? Be responsible for the health and safety of all employees within his/her department. ? To submit statistical reports, as required, detailing departmental performance. ? To be responsible for continuous improvement within his/her department.
? To provide/participate in the delivery of training/cross training, mentoring and education.
? Provide corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, accountability and social responsibility.

- Minimum of ten years engineering experience in a related manufacturing industry
- Ten years progressively complex technical experience in PCB manufacturing processes involving the latest state-of-the-art applications and techniques
- Must have advanced computer literacy capability in all aspects of computer operations/applications
- Ability to solve multiple complex problems in an environment with a variety of technical and organizational constraints
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiment is essential ? Previous manufacturing and/or engineering management experience
