What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Helper position at Ranger Construction?
Entry level position will perform a variety of manual tasks involving physical labor at building highway, and heavy construction projects and to assist in safe and efficient survey operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary functions will include assisting survey Party Chief with functions as needed.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task; properly follow all Company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Perform projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working outdoors is required.
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions; communicate with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Previous experience in operating various types of heavy equipment preferred, but not required.

The employee is occasionally required to reach, push, and pull with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions. The employee must be able to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities occurring at the site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
