Ranger Die is hiring a Detailer to provide support in the Engineering department. This position gives you the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced Designers. This position could also lead to acceptance into the apprenticeship program for Tool and Die Designers.
SUMMARY:
The Detailer is responsible for detailing dies and die components that meet customers' needs for producing parts. The Detailer provides technical support for customers, tooling, production, and estimating.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare accurate final die & detail drawings based on updated drawings provided by the Designers and or the shop floor.
- Communicate with the customers to fulfill their needs of the finalized die and detail drawings.
- Provide detail drawings with accurate and complete drawings on time; update as required.
- Update drawings and cad data to CNC for programming; update electronic files with revised programs and numbers.
- Respond timely to inquiries and requests made by internal customers.
- Communicate timely and accurate information to the Engineering Manager, including notification of problems that would prevent the normal completion of duties.
- Must maintain the organization of the detail prints until the jobs are finished.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education - High school diploma or equivalent
Experience - successful completion of CAD related courses
License(s)/Registration(s)/Certification(s) - Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA)
