Rapid Control’s Operations Manager is a leadership-level role with high-level and dynamic responsibilities.
The position has a broad range of managerial duties, including financial analysis and control, facilities oversight, marketing direction, information technology administration, and general supervision of operations.
In addition, the Operations Manager works closely with the Owners on strategically implementing policies, processes, and procedures to solve problems and make effective decisions.
The ideal Operations Manager is tech-savvy with 3-5 years of professional experience at the management level and will be poised to manage the operations of people, sales, systems, and facilities. The successful Operations Manager will primarily work in-office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales and management reports.
- Facilitate all sales team and internal meetings.
- Manage the firm's Staffing Plan, Systems Plan, and Facilities Plan.
- Directly manage all staff. Act in consultation with the Owners in managing staff positions.
- Supervise staff's work performance and address staff performance issues.
- Facilitate hiring process for all staff positions.
- Oversee all facility issues related to the operational status of all building and equipment functions.
- Coordinates, monitors, and improves key operating systems (internal policies, external policies, procedures, checklists, templates, examples, etc.) in direct and close consultation with the Owners, including vendor management, inventory management, sales/marketing resources and support, and finance/accounting.
- Ensures the firm's critical systems & processes are documented in writing and stored electronically.
- Conducts spot-checks and takes proactive steps to ensure compliance with the firm's policies, processes, and procedures.
- Supervises Information Technology functions and outside vendors.
- Manages the development, implementation and operation of information and functional systems and email/voice communications network for the organization.
- Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products purchased for the corporation.
- Manages day-to-day IT operations, including business computing, networking, user services, telecommunications and other information technology functions.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and background in industrial automation and distribution
- Stays current on technology trends
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience
- History with an enterprise ERP, CRM, Mobile device management and/or related software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
