JOB TITLE: Mechanic - VCTC

Description
Mechanics are responsible for maintaining the Company’s fleet of vehicles in safe working condition.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine, scheduled and preventative maintenance inspections and required repairs to Roadrunners standards on buses and support vehicles.
- Perform road calls and work after hours, if needed diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs including steering, electrical, cooling, brake systems, drive trains, suspension, transmissions, etc.
- Repair malfunction to all vehicle systems, overhaul, tune and repair engines.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems.
- Maintain a safe, clean and productive work area.
- Ensure work orders are accurate and properly completed
- Take direction from shop managers, fleet managers, and other management
- Showing up to work on time
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in all aspects of bus or motor coach repair.
- Alternatively, experience in all aspects of smaller vehicle repair such as vans and town cars.
- Working knowledge of electronic diagnostic and repair experience.
- Working knowledge of air conditioning and electrical systems.
- Computerized record keeping systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid California license with a good driving record o No more than 2-points o No lapse, suspension, or DUI in the last 5-years o Class B with passenger endorsement required
- Able to lift 75-lbs.
- Cooperative lifting.
- Be able to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Salary: $31.00 per hour
